Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Storeperson. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our manufacturing process by managing the storage and distribution of materials and components used in the production of commercial seating. The ideal candidate will be organised, physically fit, and possess excellent communication skills. It's worth noting its quite a labour-intensive role.
Key Responsibilities: General warehouse duties including but not limited to.
Receive and appropriately store incoming products and materials organising storage areas to optimise space.
Safely and efficiently store materials in designated locations within the warehouse ensuring accessibility.
Prepare materials and components for manufacturing team by picking components.
Manage the devanning of shipping containers.
Utilise forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move materials within the warehouse safely and efficiently.
Keep a clean warehouse, adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Basic computer skills required. Microsoft Suite and our internal stock management system.
Required Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks, much of the role is manual.
Strong organisational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
Basic clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
Possession of a valid forklift operator certification is essential.
Remuneration and Benefits: It's important to us you enjoy coming to work. We recently have a new management team in Sydney, we are offering competitive remuneration packages. We are prepared to support a good work-life balance for a right person. The position guarantees 38 hours per week. Standard hours from Mon-Thurs 9am to 5pm and then 9am – 3pm on Fridays. Negotiable for the right person.
