An opportunity exists to join The Common Good to become a part of our Café team which has sites in Chermside at The Prince Charles Hospital
About The Common Good
The Common Good is an initiative of The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation. We make an impact by funding life-changing medical research to help people live healthier for longer. Through the power of the collective, we support and facilitate the work of incredible researchers who are dedicated to making breakthroughs.
Researchers rely on time to make medical discoveries that go on to save lives. Our goal is to provide them with as much time as possible in the hopes of changing lives for the better.
To help cover our operational costs, we operate various social enterprise businesses including cafes and a catering business. This means that donations from the public can be funnelled directly into research.
Purpose of these Roles
We are seeking skilled team members with experience working in a busy cafe environment.
Reporting to the Cafe Manager, the successful applicant will:
Be a competent and experienced Barista
Have exceptional customer service skills
Have experience in food preparation as well as sandwich making.
Be available for anywhere between 15-38 hours per week
Be available to work across a 7 day rotating roster including weekends and evening shifts.
Potential for permanent position
What you need to Succeed
Have previous experience in a busy café environment.
Have the ability to handle diverse challenges and work effectively under pressure.
Be a good team player and have good interpersonal skills.
