Are you passionate about creating delicious pastries with a Korean twist? Join Buttered, a newly opened bakery in the heart of Chippendale, just 5 minutes from Central Station and Redfern Station! We're a unique bakery offering a variety of modern Korean-inspired pastries, bread, sweets, savouries and we're looking for a talented and creative Pastry Chef/Baker to join our team and bring our sweet creations to life.
Position: Head / Sous Pastry Chef/Baker Location: Buttered Bakery, Chippendale
Hours: Full-Time/Part-Time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and bake a variety of Korean-inspired pastries, classic pastries, sandwich style pan pizza Follow recipes with attention to detail to
ensure consistency in quality and flavor.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe kitchen environment.
• .
Assist with inventory management and ensure
the proper handling of ingredients and baked goods.
• Collaborate with the team to experiment with new recipes and seasonal treats.
• Uphold food safety and sanitation standards.
Occasionally engage with customers to
promote our bakery and its unique offerings.
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen is preferred but not required -enthusiastic beginners are welcome!
• Interest or knowledge of Korean cuisine and desserts is a big plus.
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating visually appealing and delicious pastries.
• Strong time management and multitasking skills, especially in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude, willingness to collaborate, and a passion for working with a creative team.
